'Far North Queensland' series, Australia 2006. I took this picture in the middle of a category 5 cyclone that devastated FNQ. I'm really proud of this photo, because it was actually a REALLY insane shot to take with the ridiculous winds, and it was hard enough just to maintain camera balance at the time. (Notice the branch of a tree flying by in the top left corner of the frame, in addition to all the trees being torn over.) Cyclone Larry was an intense time in Cairns, particularly because 9/10ths of the city evacuated, leaving the remaining tenth of us behind to bunker in before the flooding rains started.
