I LOVE this photo. We were camping in the Navajo tribal park in Navajo Nation, Monument Valley (on the border between Utah and Arizona) and a few of us decided to wake up before sunrise, hike up to some rock outcroppings, and watch the sun rise over Monument Valley. The silhouettes of the monuments against the gorgeous desert sun's sudden burst of orange and pink made for a truly worthwhile 4am wakeup call. 'As Long As Grass Grows or Water Runs' series, March 2010. **In my opinion, this photo looks much better on the white background setting, adjustable in the top right corner of this website.
