I didn't actually know that peacocks have all three of these patterns on their feathers until I took this close-up shot of the torso of a wild (yes wild!) peacock outside of Moab, Utah during a Transcon South/ Coast-to-Coast South tour in June 2010. 'As Long As Grass Grows or Water Runs' series.
