'East Australian Currents' series, Snapper Rocks (Coolangatta) QLD 2006. This is my favorite of any picture I've ever taken.
"Being out there... it's... it's an experience I can't really explain. I 'see' the waves. I didn't always; it's something that happened because I was out here so much. I feel it. You know how you go in the water for long enough, and then you leave, and you can feel the ocean still pushing you back and forth, even when you're back in your apartment a day later? It's like that, but on a surreal level, I think. I've been here so long, and now the waves push me, all the time, in the way that I am. I belong here... this is me." (Interview in Sydney)
