'Islands in the Sun' series, Jamaica 2007. I really love this photo, which I took of kids on a playground in Ocho Rios. My friend and I got stranded outside of Ocho Rios when we ran into a group of teachers from Houston who were hiring a driver to escort them around a tour of different schools all day. We joined them, (since we had no other form of transportation) and at one primary school I wandered off and got these shots of the kids. The local teacher asked me to show off the pictures when I returned to the States to prove to Americans how proper and happy her students were.
